Copy and Paste

I have recently gotten a new Comp. with Windows XP. I
find when I insert a picture on word,
when I copy and paste to paint the photo does not come
out well. Almost like changed to a Gif (loss of color,
definition etc.) only worse. With ME I used this a lot as
I would add clips from the clip gallery and paste to
Paint to finish and/or to Adobe. Hoping can get a fix,

What happens if you import the image into Paint? Have you tried "paste from?" Are you
importing .wmf's?
