copy and paste in IE 8

I am using IE 8 on Home XP. I can not cut and paste anything into a
window when I blog. Nor can I copy a url and paste it into the address
bar. Nor can I copy the address bar and paste it into Word. Copy and
paste works fine in all other applications.

I can cut and paste in all other applications.

I have checked my security settings and copy and paste drag and drop
is enabled.
