CoolWebSearch

I have 3 workstations infected with CoolWebSearch
spyware/adware type programs. It changes the home page and
causes several very annoying pop-up ads. I cannot find a
way to totally rid the systems of the pests. I have tried
Adaware SE (updated), Spybot, Pest Patrol, etc. These
programs find the executables and registry keys and claim
to remove them but they reappear after every system reboot
with a different file name. I have tried disabling Java in
the security settings for IE6 and the problem remains.
Need some help.

I would take a look after you run ad aware (or whatever
program you are using) to remove the spyware. Then in
the folder windows "prefetch" look for similar file names
toe the nusiance and delete them. Or you can simply
delete everything from the prefetch folder (but not the
folder itself).
