Coolwebsearch

The program catches Coolwebsearch when I boot-up, and
removes it, but everytime I re-boot Coolwebsearch tries to
get in. When I try to send a report, the report fails to
submit. Error check your internet proxy. There is nothing
wrong with my connection to the Internet, has anyone else
been able to submit a report, and has anyone had the same
issue with removing Coolwebsearch?

Try to download and run this CWS uninstaller.

I used Neoimagic Windows with a plug-in to remove
Coolwebsearch to keep it off by scheduling it to run every
10 minutes and at startup.

Go to www.Spysubtract from there you can download "free"
"CWShredder" this tool is good for removing CoolWeb
Search items! I too have only been able to make one
report when I first downloaded Microsoft AnitSpyWare and
since keep getting an error message about being unable to
find my internet proxy setting which I don't use. I now
have encountered another problem each time I run we of
course always find "Altnet: which we have been unable to
remove because it is in the Registry Keys and when you go
there is won't let you delete, but when you run this
Microsoft SpyWare when it gets to Altnet it freezes there
and won't even let me shut down. Hum!? I will find out
someday how to get Altnet off my Registry keys! It would
be nice to make these reports we can't make, might help
them to understand some of the issues!!

I also get a detection of CWS. I ran the shredder and it
does not detect CWS. MSAS detects the CWS in a
WinNT\system32\shdocvw.dll. That program is used by
windows. If it is in the system32 folder is is suppose to
be OK. If it is not in that directory then it is CWS. I
have not been able to reinstall this file.
