To all of you out there having trouble with vx2 and
coolwebsearch..... running micrsoft antispyware twice in
safe mode has removed my infection. After a month of
struggling, trying to change the registry, removing files
in dos running hundreds of scans with several programs
just to have it re-appear, it seems as though the
Micrsoft program in safe mode has permanently removed it.
I have rebooted 8 times and scanned after each with no
detection of the vx2 toolbar or coolwebsearch. My
computer is running great.... no pop ups, toolbars are
stable and no redirection on webpages. Hope this helps

can be! Note.... when running is safemode, Microsoft
Antispyware came up with a notice...."VX2 was trying to
install... do I want to delete?" I think that was the
key. Removing it BEFORE it reloads itself.
