CoolWebSearch.Startpage

I recently installed Spyware Beta 1 with great results.
However upon start up it always detects the threat the
CoolWebSearch.Startpage is trying to hijack my browser.
Does anyone know how I can remove the file that is
causing this hijacking to accure upon start up?

Hi David,
CWS and its variants are a real pain. Try this:
Boot into Safe Mode (F8) at startup;
Empty your temporary files AND your Temporary Internet Files C:\Documents
and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files folder ;
Run the scan while in safe mode;
If you are running SP2, open IE--->Tools--->Manage Add-ons, and uncheck any
BHO's that you don't recognize.

If that doesn't do it, you can also Google for a freeware program called
CWShredder.
