browser virus

everytime i log on, my browser comes up as 'blank' being
my default i have changed it, but it always comes up that
way. as soon as i attempt to do something, it comes up
with an error that makes me have the close IE. I run the
microsoft virus software and this is the message
(below). as soon as i start up the machine again, the
virus installs itself again.

i have run a ck disk from 'my computer' , properties,
tools.

i had loaded kasaa about 2 months ago. I have since
uninstalled it. I did not know it would do this.

I also have winMX loaded, but they claim no adware.

please help.

I have the same issue. Every software I have used will
remove the about: blank virus but it will then reappear
once you launch IE again.

About:blank is difficult to remove for all antispyware programs.
Sometimes impossible

For guidance and help choose a Forum within link.
All of them using a program called HijackThis
for removal.

when you run the scan you have to manually make it remove
everything you don't want. That is why you are still
having problems.
