From another MS newsgroup:

A new malware is being distributed that hijacks Internet Explorer start and
search settings to one of several different web sites, including
coolwwwsearch.com, coolwebsearch.com, youfindall.net, freebookmark.net,
ok-search.com, yourbookmarks.ws, freebookmarks.net, yourbookmarks.info,
bannedhost.net, itseasy.us, findwhat.com, carsands.com, findloss.com,
runsearch.com, searchv.com, and white-pages.ws.

Get SpyBot available from
http://tomcoyote.org/SPYBOT/ and update the reference files
through their Online update function. Run them and select all items and
remove.
You may have to reboot and rerun a couple of times to completely remove
them.
Also run the Immunize function to
prevent these nasties from installing again.

Get SpywareBlaster to stop these nasties.

Update the reference file through the online update function.

Have you tried Ad-aware or SpyBot Search & Destroy?

Ad-aware here: http://ftp.pcworld.com/pub/new/privacy___security/aaw6181.exe

SpyBot here: http://studserver.uni-dortmund.de/~su1669/spybotsd12.exe

SpyBot home: http://security.kolla.de/
SpyBot How-To: http://www.tomcoyote.org/SPYBOT/

Install either or use the online update feature to obtain the latest reference
files - scan like you would with your pre-installed anti-virus scanner.

If no joy, use Hijack This:
