Cooking with gas? Fainting more like!

Hi there Historian - well, we have a carbon monoxide monitor (sold to us by British Gas, would you believe...) even though we have that darned vent. This year, the blooming thing has to be altered again, too... they seem to alter the "goal posts" quite a lot, regarding regulations. I understand that one needs to be safe and that tragedies have happened, of course, but I feel that the vent can indeed, be counter-productive when it comes to draughts. One can block-up everything else, with draught excluders and what-not... but you're left with a howling gale across the ankles! :lol:
