Cookies

My old program "cookiem.exe" no longer works with XP SP2 and I'm
looking for a new one.

Many pages will not load unless they can place a cookie on your
computer. I want to allow that, but then delete it.

There are some cookies that I actually want. I would like a program
that will somehow 'filter' a cookie. But I don't want to asked
every time "do you want to delete this cookie". Maybe a list of
cookies that I delete, or something like that.

Is there such a critter? Freeware is great as always, but
shareware, commercial in the $30-40 range.

Thanks, in advance.

Internet Explorer has that built-in feature. Click Tools, Internet Options,
Privacy, Advanced. Then check Override default cookie handling. You
can set options for both 1st and 3rd party cookies - either Allow,Block
or Prompt. Using Prompt, you can then set allowances as they are set
for future action. Most times, I set 1st party to Prompt and 3rd party
to Block to just make it easier.
