Try CrapCleaner. Great program - small in size - and it's FREE. Lots of
useful stuff in it - very handy. Not just cookies ... temp files, old apps
in registry etc. Also rather than just DELETING your wastebasket ( which
leaves the data physically on the drive but " not seen " by windows) , you
can choose to overwrite deleted data x number of times ......

Install it. Choose to offer wastebasket settings ( checkboxes during
install).
Right-click on wastebasket - open - to check off things you'd like cleaned
up. ( Cookies, temp files,etc)
It will show you what it is about to do. You can elect to uncheck items or
not - up to you.
Once you have done that a few times and have your settings tuned the way
you like, you can then just right-click and RUN. It'll purge all the stuff
you choose. ( All of your previous checkboxes checked)
When it's new you might want to backup as you go ( it will offer to
"Backup before Purging?") until you get comfortable with it. SO if you
find you deleted something that you might need, you can restore it. ( I've
never had to restore anything though.)
