Converting Word to PDF but links don't work

Hi, I was wondering if there is any way to make the URL links in MS
Word stay as active links when I convert a MS Word document to a PDF.
What I always have to do now is, after I convert the Word file to PDF,
go through the whole PDF file in Acrobat and make each link active
again. Any ideas?

This is an Adobe settings issue. I use Adobe Pro version 7. If I choose
Change Conversion Settings from Adobe's toolbar in Word, one of the options
in the Settings tab is Add Links to Adobe PDF. With that option enabled,
links in the document are carried over into the .pdf file.

Thanks very much for the info. I'm using Acrobat 6 (on a Mac). Do you have
any idea if this option is possible with Adobe Pro 6, from Word, on a Mac.
Can't seem to find it. Also, if I get version 7 do think this option will be
available then.

Hyperlinks don't convert in Mac Acrobat, any version. I think Adobe and MS
are currently blaming each other for the problem.

I'm having the same problem. I'm using Adobe 7.0 (not pro). I am not finding
a "Change Conversion Settings" option. Is this exclusive to Adobe Pro?

I'm desperate -- would greatly appreciate some help on this.

I don't know. I had Standard for a week, discovered it wouldn't do
everything I needed, and bought the upgrade. I don't know if this is one of
the things it wouldn't do.

I have a button in Word that says Adobe PDF, on my menu bar (not sure if it
was there originally, or if I rearranged the furniture). When I click that
button, there are 4 commands, and the 4th one is Change Conversion Settings.
Add Links is in the Settings tab, under Application Settings.

I'm using the tryout version of Acrobat 7.0 Professional. The Word hyperlinks
do transfer to the PDF in the body text but I can't seem to get them to work
in a footer, i.e., footer in word hyperlink to footer in pdf hyperlink. The
link shows up but it is not hot? Adobe pre-sale told me it was possible but I
can't figure out how.

Any thought....
