Converting .wmv to .mpg

I made a movie in Window Movie Maker 2.0 on my WinXP and
everything worked fine. Expect I need to convert it to
an .mpg type file so a couple others can see the movie
since they don't have a program that will show a .wmv
type file. I've read a few newsgroup posting say there is
a program to convert the .wmv > .mpg but so far I haven't
said the NAME of the program that will let be do the
conversion. Anybody found a good program tha will do the
job?
