Sue

I have been reading the newsgroup all afternoon and have learned so much,
thank you all. My question is this, I have many templates that were created
in Word 2003 that have text boxes, fill-in boxes, and some even have small
macros that prompt the user for input and then bookmarks that info for
insertion later in the document. All my templates are stored on a server for
easier updating and all my users PC are pointed to that network location.
When I open the templates on an updated machine (meaning, one that was
upgraded from Office 2003 to 2007), the documents open in compatibility mode,
do I have to recreate all the templates? All my machines are running Windows
XP, SP2.

Please disregard the previous post - I had the wrong address copied & now I
can't find the one I meant to post a link to. I'll try to get the right one
as soon as I can if someone doesn't beat me to it.

If your templates work correctly in Compatibility Mode then you don't have
to do anything. Everything in your templates should still function as it did
in Word 2003. You can opt to convert them to the new file format if you want
but you don't have to.

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email cannot be acknowledged.
