Converting Single Space to Double Space - AutoShape Question

Greetings:

I have a large doc loaded with AutoShapes, text boxes, jpg's, etc. I will
be converting the line spacing from single space to double space and I'm
concerned that this may wreak havoc with the figures. Are there options
(layout?) which need to be checked that will keep all figures in their
proper position with respect to the text?

Thanks -

It's difficult to give much specific advice without knowing what layout you
have used so far and what you are trying to achieve.

Objects that are 'in line' will move with the text - but since your
pagination will change they may cause awkward page breaks and need to be cut
and pasted elsewhere.

Objects that are floating with a wrapped layout will move according to the
advanced layout settings - by default this gives positioning relative to the
paragraph and 'move with text',which in theory ought to keep your objects in
the correct relative positions (though there may again be page break
issues), but if you have adjusted layout with blank paragraphs and similar
you may get some horrendous messes.

For Autoshapes, you might find things flying apart if they have separate
anchors - if you've used the 'drawing canvas' or grouped the objects they
are likely to be easier to control.

Probably your best bet is to try it on a copy and see what goes wrong - and
whether it needs to be fixed in the original before the reformat, or fiddled
individually afterwards.

I came across this article the other day which gives some useful
explanations
