Converting Real Player Video files to *WMV

I am aware that Windows Media Player doesn't support Real audio/video files
so I don't expect the encoder to magically convert the files for me but I was
wondering if anybody has found a program that they'd reccomend, that would
get the job done (for free). I have a few Real Player video files that I need
converted to *wmv to put into a PowerPoint presentation and they have to be
in at least *wmv to be inserted as a movie file. Anybody got any suggestions?

A quick Google suggests that Real alternative/Window Media Player seems to
be one solution.
