Converting mpeg1 to mpeg2

Are there any free converter that can do this or can MM do it?

Movie Maker can't.... and utilities that handle MPEG-2 usually cost
something. You might get one with a free trial period like TMPGEnc

Another question Papa, do you know of any good stable all in one codec
package?

I don't try the codec packages... just get mine one at a time as needed
