The file needs to be converted to an .mpeg2 to play on a consumer DVD
player. Some DVD creation software will recognize other formats and do the
conversion for you, others just take an existing Mpeg2 and burn it to the
DVD. A lot depends on the software you are using to create the DVD - start
there, if it does not convert it, you will need to look for software that
will.
Movie Maker can be downloaded from: www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/
downloads/updates/moviemaker2.mspx if you have XP
MyDVD from www.sonic.com is one product that will automatically conver movie
maker files.
