How can I convert a text-only manuscript processed in Times New Roman 12pt
(ready for A4 printing) to a 6"x9" document suitable for book printing?

File, Page Setup. Or open New Document set the page size to required size and
paste text from your existing file.

John, u can set yr page size in Page Setup/[Paper] tab. Either pick
from your list, or select Custom size and create yr own. However, you
may have to go through your document to check formatting, such as page
breaks. Moreover, other fonts, margins and other settings may be

Use Publisher. Publisher automatically lays out booklets correctly, even with
custom page sizes.
