Convert to .pdf and print

I have a form that allows a user to choose certain parameters and then it
gets the information. I currently have a button that they can push and it
will bring up the report so they can print it. What I would like to do is
have a button that will convert the report to a .pdf and then print to a
default printer (ideally I would like the user to be able to choose a
printer, but I don't know if that's possible). Any ideas?

Brookie,

You must mean 2007, but in any case, you should be able to download an
add-in that will allow you to send reports directly to a PDF file. Check the
Microsoft website or the Adobe website.

Assuming Lynn is correct about you using 2007, here is a link to the plugin
that allows Access to "save as" a PDF file.

But this will allow you to "save as" a PDF file. However it will not
automatically send the PDF to the printer. I believe you have two options.
You would either have to shell out to a PDF viewer which would still require
the user to manually print. Or you can print the report to the PDF and then
print the report to the printer (execute 2 DoCmd statements, one to create
the PDF and the other to print to the printer)

Thank you for the info and the link! I think I'm going to try your
suggestion Ray with the 2 DoCmd statements.

Thanks!
