Convert .mov file

My daughter received a Kodak digital camera (Easy Share CX62000) for
Christmas that will do short low quality video (30 Seconds). The problem is
that they are saved automatically as .mov files. I wish to add audio etc
for her but can only find freeware for wav etc. Is there a freeware program
that will convert the .mov to some other more common format.

Yup, there is. Check out the RAD Video Tools
(http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm). These are mainly meant to
encode Bink video, but they can convert Quicktime files as well. Hope
this helps!
