Hi!
I am helping a church upgrade their network from a workgroup to a domain
(Win2000 server). I will setup AD and DNS, DHCP, etc., but my issue is
figuring out the best way to migrate the accounts on the local machine to
the new domain profile. I know I can go to Profiles and copy the profile
from the local computer profile to the domain profile, but will that move
their Outlook email PST file (or Outlook Express) as well as bookmarks,
desktop icons, program icons, etc.? Is there a preferred method to make
sure the profile is moved correctly or are there any pitfalls I should
lookout for? Do you recommend backing up PST and bookmarks as well as
desktop setting before the transfer?
I also assume since they were in a workgroup, they were local administrators
and program installations will carryover to the new profile as well?
Thanks!!
