Convert DVD to Xvid

Hi All

Looking for an excellent free program that will convert DVD to Xvid so it doesn't take almighty amounts of space on my Laptop hardrive....

Anyone with any idea's.....Has to be a freebie and possibly one you have used yourself to do the job...

I know someone on here will come through for me....

I actually purchased a video conversion program by Imtoo for $20.00, converts everything to everything, but I haven't tried it's DivX facility yet.

Here's an article that tells you all you need to know - and I mean everything - and all programs used have download links supplied and are free.

A bit detailed, but I do know this method works well: DVD to DivX
