Outlook will be indexing for hours when I need to do a search and will not
give me complete search results. How do you contorl when Outlook does the
indexing say late at night or any other ideas?

You don't. Besides, it's not Outlook doing the indexing but the search
indexer (Windows Desktop Search). This is designed to only index when the
computer is idle. If your computer is idle overnight, it will do the
indexing.

Thanks for the reply but my indexing is going on, it seems like many times
when I am trying to do a search. I am unbale to do the search some times for
hours waiting until Indexing completes? Any other suggestions?

So the question is how do I get indexer (Windows Desktop Search) to only
index when the computer is idle because now it runs when I trying to do a
search primarly when I am working in Outlook and try to do a search? If the
indexed is only suppose to run when the computer is idle that is not the case

Guess you're not using it enough then and it's still considered to be idle
;-)
This could happen when you are just typing or performing some other non-CPU,
memory or hard disk intensive tasks.

As the indexing process is completely separate from Outlook (it's not only
for email) and Windows Desktop Search is a separate application I would
recommend continuing in a more related newsgroup like;
