OK, I have some major probs. I just reloaded win XP
because of major system changes, etc. Anyway, I run
several js scripts in a video editor that requires the
installation of the .NET framework via windows updates.
After installation of the .NET framework, I get the
infamous, click user to logon screen. To avoid this, I
used the highly suggested "control userpasswords2"
command. At the prompt for a password, I left it blank
because there is not password by default. Now, whenever I
try to restart the machine, I see the logon box (with
just a username and password) flash quickly, give an
error and then the next "windows starting..." splash
screen starts. The computer then stops. It won't go
anywhere past this. I can't pause the computer to read
the error message, I can't safe boot, etc. Is there
anyway to reset this option via the recovery console or
the like. I just spent two days setting this machine up
with the right progs, etc. Someone please help me!!!
Thanks in advance.
