How can I put a control panel icon on my desktop. Right
clicking on it does not allow it to be sent.

How about left click and drag? Works for me.

1. Open Windows Explorer
2. Scroll down until you see Control Panel
3. Click once to highlight it
4. From the Windows Explorer Toolbar select:
File > Control Panel > Create Shortcut
