Hello.

It has been more than awhile since I went into control panel and used
the user accounts function. When I click it it begins to open up the
resource but then says In the pop up box User Accounts......"Out of
memory".

I am having no other problems with the machine, just this as far as I
know.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Mike

PS: In Administrative tools, computer management I can add and delete
users. Not sure if that is the same as what control panel user
accounts does, but that area works fine.

Hi Mike,

See if this command helps. From Start/Run:

mshta.exe "res://C:\Windows\System32\nusrmgr.cpl/nusrmgr.hta"

If not, delete or rename the c:\windows\system32\mshta.exe file. Windows File Protection will issue a fresh copy from Dllcache.

Hello. Thanks for the advice. I tried both of those, and I get the
saem results. When I entered the command in the run box or changing
out the mshta file give the same results. Any other ideas?
Thanks!

Mike,

Have you tried disabling the background applications, especially the script blockers / Anti-virus etc? That might help.

Hello.

Sorry it took awhile to get back to this problem with the holidays and
such. I have tried the additional suggestion of the clean boot and
still have the same problem. When I use the User Accounts Icon in
Control Panel I still get the out of memory error. When I hit OK and
then try to use the home or navigation buttons onthe page the message
given is 'g_Navigator' is null or not an object. Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Mike

Hello again everyone. Just sending out another note to refresh the
topic. Still having the same problem and wondering if anyone has any
other ideas?

Thanks!
