I have a PC running XP Home SP2.

Is there a tweak that will allow you to add a desktop shortcut to the
Control Panel? I noticed this is available on Windows Vista.

Method 1)
Create a new shortcut on your desktop and point it to :
C:\Windows\System32\control.exe

Method 2)
Drag the Control Panel icon from Start Menu or the title bar of Control Panel Window.

Method 3)
Create a new shortcut and change its target to :
rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDll

Method 4)
Create a new folder on desktop and change the name to :
xxx.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}

xxx is the name you want (you can change it later).

Method 5)
Buy Vista.

Good Luck, Ayush.

Wow. Didn't realize it was so easy. Thanks.
