Control Panel Shell32.dll explorer.exe error

When I clicked on my control panel at first I was getting a shell32.dll
exporer.exe error. I looked into the shell32 error and was told it was a
plug-in I was using for my browser. I uninstalled all plug-ins and it did not
fix the problem. All in all it turned out I had a corrupt .cpl file in my
systems32 folder. I ran a search on .cpl in my system32 folder and copied
them all to my desktop. Then I deleted them all from my system32 folder.
Problem was fixed. After that I put all my .cpl files back into my system32
folder one by one checking to see if my control panel opened everytime I
added back a .cpl file to try to track down the corrupt file. I got a few
automatic file updates when I deleted the original files from the folder and
it must have fixed the problem because I added all my .cpl files back onto my
system32 tray re-booted my system and everything worked fine. Good luck.
