CONTROL PANEL-ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS

Takes over FOUR minutes to "populate list." I have:

searched and found all .cpl file extensions and they all work fine.
I've found "control.ini" and renamed it .old & restarted with neg results.
used "Tweak UI" control panel with negative results.

In Safe Mode, the program "populates list" in 10 seconds!!! :(

Can help?? Thank you.

I don't know your answer but the same thing began on my XP about a month ago.
Sometime prior to that I installed Spycatcher & Spyware Blaster but don't
know if that is why. Maybe if you have installed any spy or ad ware that
could be it.
