Control Panel problem

I have win pro xp with all updates. I am now missing something when i go to
Control Panel.

In the past, when i clicked Start + Control Panel i would see on le left
side a box titled Control Panel with the option of choosing the Classic View
and below that box there would be another box named See Also with the
following 3 choices :

Windows Update
Help and Support
Other Control Panel options

Now i can no more see the box titled Control Panel and therefore i can not
use the Classic view from that position. All that i see is the box See Also
with the same 3 choices as before.

What is happening?

How can i get the box named Control Panel with the option of using the
Classic View?

Have you tried System Restore?

Just a thought. Do you see, on the left, an Explorer like tree. If so,
click on the Folders button on the tool bar and see if that wont restore
what you are looking for. I just tried it and it toggles between the
Explorer like tree and the box entitled Control Panel.
