Control panel crashes

I can open control panel but when I try to open an icon eg printers a box
opens with 'Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close'
The problem is in explorer.exe with printui.dll OR ntdll.dll OR shel32.dll
depending what I try to open with Offset codes 00007e55 OR 000111de OR
0002edca.

Try Start, Run, type "sfc /scannow" without quotes and hit Enter.
