Control home key and highlight & delete

All of a sudden when I highlight a selection with the mouse and hit delete on
my keyboard it will not delete the item. If I hit Ctrl Home a box comes up
instead of moving to the top of the document.

Go to Tools > Options > General and uncheck both options that mention
WordPerfect. That will cure both problems. See
