I cannot access "Folders Options". And if i type "Control Folders" in
Start/run an error message appears telling me there are limitations, "please
contact your technical suuport", though I have an admin account. I run WinXP
Home SP2. What I want to do is to make windows show all filename extensions
(ie. .txt, .iso etc.) Is there a way to enable filename extensions in the
registry ??

Scan your system for malware.

malwares? like spywares? remove with ad aware or spybot?

Spyware is not interested in limitations of your admin account. Try an
anti-virus but be aware that the malware has already taken control of
your system. When running under your admin account, malware has the same
privileges as you have and therefore, it can apply restrictions to that
account and to the local machine as well as any administrator.
Therefore, an admin account should be used only when necessary while
surfing and clicking all you can get is an absolute no-no.

For Windows XP Professional:
1. Click Start - Run - type GPEDIT.MSC
2. Expand to
User Configuration
Administrative Templates
Windows Components
Windows Explorer
3. Double-click "Remove the Folder Options menu item from the Tools menu" in
right side pane.
4. If it is set to "Enable" or "Not configured" then set it "Disable".

For both Windows XP and Home Edition: (Modifying registry need high
attention. Do it carefully)

1. Click Start - Run - type Regedit
2. Here expand to HKEY_CURRENT_USER
SOFTWARE
MICROSOFT
WINDOWS
CURRENTVERSION
POLICIES
EXPLORER
3. in the right-side pane check for the DWORD value NoFolderOptions
4. if it is there then select and delete the entry.
5. If it is not there then create a new DWORD value by right-clicking
NEW-DWORD
6. Type a name 'NoFolderOptions" and press Enter.
7. Double-click the entry and set the value to 0.
8. Open any folder and see if Folder Options is there. If it is still not
there then Log Off and Log in again or make a restart

Further, you must check your computer for Spywares. Hope this information
helps you, let us know!
