I have a new Pentium computer 2.6/512 Ram 3200/400. ASUS MB,
Windows 2000 Pro. It was fine when I put it together, now when a folder
is opened it reboots. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help you
may offer.

I would switch out the ram with a new stick first. if
that dont do it i would take out all the cards from your
MB and restart your machine... sounds like could be a
hardware compatability issue with your MB and another
card. Take em out and reboot your machine. Insert a new
card after every reboot and go from there. maybe one
card you have is bad. Hope that helps

Hey Anonymous,

Go into Event Viewer and check the action under system log
if there is a dump file created. If so,get debugging tool
from microsoft.com which able to read the dump file and
tell you what caused the reboot.

All the best.

Cheers.
