Hi,
I have a user that everytime we install Service Pack 4 on
his pc, it goes into a continuous loop. Once we remove
the service pack, it works fine again. He has windows
2000 for the os. Any ideas on why this is happening and
how to fix it? Thanks for your help,

CJ

Please give computer config. Stop the service on any
software not needed while installing the SP4.

CJ,

We have seen this issue occur if the Anti-virus or other 3rd party software was not disabled prior to installing SP4.
Rare occurances involved updating the BIOS.

Either try disabling any 3rd party software or try installing SP4 while in SAFEMODE.
