Continuous Inking System - Canon i550 - Printing Stripes

Hi,

Just installed a continuous inking system on my Canon i550. The black
prints great. The colours print out very cleanly and regularly - but
in stripes. As if half of the print head for every colour is not
working. I've cleaned the head several times. It's very weird that
it happens on ALL the colours...

If you'd like to see a scan of the printout, see here:

The colours should be full - not striped.

Any ideas to bring my printer back to life? Please!

Cheers,
Brad

Sounds like a joke

You should stick to what the mfg recommended. The i550 is old school.

It appears that you have an electrical issue with the printheads. You
might try removing the printhead and cleaning the contacts. Use a damp
lint-free cloth to clean the contacts. Do not touch the nozzles.

This is a common problem with Canon i 520/550

You have cooked driver part of CHIP in printhead. Since color and black use
different driver circuit, black is OK.
