Continuous AdStatus

I was having spyware and virus problems recently so I
formatted my PC, and just after installing WinXP I
installed Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta. Precisely every ten
minutes, a warning comes up that 'AdStatus Remote Access
Trojan is trying to Install', and when I remove it, all
IE browsers close.
Could it be that this trojan is repeatedly trying to
install itself through my IP address every 10 minutes?
I'm fed up with these continuous hijacks please help!

Using a firewall? Patches up to date? If you are a DSL
user I would consider spending about $30-50 for a router
with some firewall capabilities as well.

Do you have more than one computer running windows, could
it be that you have another infected machine at your site
that is attacking your system?
