Continuing DirectX problem

I wrote in an earlier post that when I run the DirectX Diagnostic tool, it
tells me that the file system.dll is missing and that I should reinstall
DirectX (I already have version 9c), but when I download and run dxwebsetup
it does nothing and the problem persists.

David Candy then posted that system.dll not part of DirectX but of the .NET
Framework. So I reinstalled the .NET 2.0 framework--still I don't have the
system.dll file. I reran dxwebsetup and it added a few files, but still the
system.dll file is missing. Has any one any further suggestions?

Do you have a problem. No. You are just wasting time. Are you missing version 2, if not then installing 2 won't help.
