Contextures Order Form

MAC MAN

Hi,

I have been using your Order form for 1 year and it's great however I have
run into a little problem.

Up until July I was using the form on a PC but have since switched to Mac.

I bought the Office for Mac when I purchased my IMAC.

Everything has been running smoothly until this week when I tried to add
several new products to my ProductList.

When I use the dropdown box on the order form itself, it only scrolls down
to a certain point and stops.
I had 1034 product entries or lines and I have added another 300 or so
additional product entries or lines and when I scroll to get those, the
scroll bar stops at lin 1034.

Can you help ?

The version described here:
http://contextures.com/xlOrderForm01.html

I use xl2003 on a wintel machine, so take this with a grain of salt -- or try it
yourself.

I added data to the list in the Products worksheet and redefined the name to
include all 1500 cells (a2:a1501).

The data|validation dropdown on the order form worksheet showed all the entries.

So I'm guessing that it's either a problem with the name -- did you remember to
redefine the range to include those extra entries?

Or it's a difference in the way the Mac behaves.

You may want to post in
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.mac.office.excel

(Include the version of your OS, excel and anything else that may matter with
Mac's <vbg>.)

If it turns out that you forgot to redefine the range, you may want to redesign
your form. Scrolling through 1300 entries seems like a lot of work.

Debra shows a way to use dependent lists here:
http://contextures.com/xlDataVal02.html

You could define some prefixes/types in one data|validation dropdown that would
limit the choices in the second/dependent cell.
