Content IE5 folders not visable

I cannot view my folders in docs and settings/owner/local settings/temp
internet files/IE5. The IE5 folder is empty, no subfolders or index dat.
files. IE seems to be operating fine. Yes the show hidden files and folders
is checked. Other users do not have this problem, the folders are visable.
Tried rebooting many times and ie does not recreate them. I know tif's are
being stored, and know the folders names, but cannot locate them through the
search command. This problem seems to surfaced after I ran a progam called
History Eraser. I'm running Win Xp Home, IE6, SP1. Any help would
apprieciated. Thanks

In Internet Options, click on the Settings button,
and make sure it's on Automatic, and double-check
the location also.

Thanks for your response. The settings button was on automatic, and the
location was correct. I changed the button to everytime and then changed it
back. The problem is still there. Any other suggestions would be
apprieciated. Thanks

Then obviously the program that you installed is
cleaning them out. You'll need to disable or
uninstall it to get access to the cache.

I went thru this last January and it has to do with securities set up by
MS... I had a thread running here that ended up a mile long... I/we learned
that you cannot access those TIF files from Explore.. What I did find out
is that you can open IE and click TOOLS/Internet Options and on the General
tab, click on the SETTINGS button... On the new window, click on VIEW FILES
and they will all open up.. I have also found that from that window, you can
drag files out onto the desktop and copy them just as you could do with 98
or ME from Explore.... I don't know of any other way to get to them, but
this works perfectly and you can also delete them from the above window.
