I do appreciate the ideas for candy bars, sorry about not being real clear
about what exactly a "content editor" is.

A "content editor" is a limited function editor that allows your salesman,
marketing person, secretary, etc to make changes to some of the contents of
a web-site without being able to touch the bulk of the web-site. For
instance, News, Sales, Picnic announcements etc.

adobe golive has one and macromedia dreamweaver has one.
they're usually around $100 and allow fairly easy edits on "approved areas".

I've heard MS isn't jumping on that bandwagon. which is odd because they
have to know why people are asking about fp express and trying to get word
to edit web pages etc.

Macromedia Contribute? I've heard a few things about it but never used it
myself.

Adobe has one too. I found it when installing CS (which is very impressive)
I haven't used their scaled back content editor yet. maybe never will. but
it's definitely there. ;-)
