I need to copy my contacts to another profile on another computer. How can I
do it?

How do I backup my contacts and store them safely?

Thanking you in anticipation,

Robert,

Thanks for the link.

Can I request you for another help? My Outlook folder has a number of files
with numbers in them like the following:
OutlookHotmail-00000009.pst
Rajiv K (e-mail address removed)-0000000c.pst
Rajiv K (e-mail address removed)-00000007.pst
Rajiv K (e-mail address removed)-00000005.pst

Is there some way by which the numbers can be removed from the pst file
names?

Thanking you in anticipation.

Those are Hotmail and IMAP PST names and Outlook generates those on its own.
You can neither control nor modify them in Outlook 2007. It's conceivable
your could modify them in earlier versions of Outlook, but since you didn't
include your Outlook version in your prior posts, who can say?

Thank you for your views.

I am using Outlook 2007. After following the advice in
http://www.howto-outlook.com I moved my Outlook.pst to my D drive, and
removed the Hotmail and IMAP accounts from the e-mail accounts. Inspite of
the removal, the Hotmail and IMAP PST files are being created in
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\

Is this normal or do I have any control on their creation and naming?

Thanks for your advice.

That's normal. Moving the pst-files for IMAP and Hotmail accounts is not
suported.

Thank you for the advice. Though I have deleted the accounts - Hotmail and
IMAP - the pst files are created in the Outlook folder. Why should this
happen even when the accounts are not present?

Didn't you read what I said? Let me repeat "You can neither control nor
modify them in Outlook 2007." What about that statement is unclear?

Did you stop and restart Outlook after that?
