Multiple copies of sent message

I am running Outlook XP. I had to format my hard disk after it crashed.
Though every thing is working fine but when I send a message, three copies
of it are present in my Sent box though the recepient recieve only one copy.
How do I prevent multiple copies from being saved in the sent box?
