Contacts problem

Sometime ago I created a backup of my contacts for my Microsoft Office
Outlook Standard 2003. No matter what I do I cannot export/import the backup
file into the program. Can someone offer some help how to do this without
having to re-enter hundreds of names?

Depends on how you backed up. But you do not Import at all. You copy the
contact backup to your hard drive, remove read only properties if necessary
and open it from within Outlook using File, Open data file, then drag the
contact folder or any contents to your working pst file.

The backup up is located on my hard drive in My Documents folder, but when I
go to file then data file on Outlook the backup is not there and I cannot
move it there, so I could use some further help.
