Contacts not found - they're one off!

Often, altho I just tried it and it didn't happen, when I create a new
message and click send, Outlook doesn't find the contact (it's been
underlined as found) and shows that window. When I click "show more names"
it's always one past the name I typed. I've deleted and re-imported all the
contacts, but this continues. It's Outlook 2002 SR 3.

"Often, but not now..." provides no real clues as to what is going wrong.
You'll need to provide the actual steps to reproduce the problem and the
exact method by which you are selecting your recipient. That message simply
means the recipient you selected does not have a valid electronic address.
Exporting and importing is one good way to corrupt your electronic
addresses.

Ok, here are the steps.

1. I just wrote a new message to "Tim Jackson." His name fills out in the
"To:" part of the message

2. I write the message and click "send"

3. Up comes the "Check Names" window with "No Suggestions" and I click "Show
More Names"

4. The window opens and points to the name just after "Tim Jackson." I
press the up arrow one time and it's then OK.

If I can help you more to help me, please let me know.

Need some more detail on step 1. Exactly how are you entering the recipient
information? We need to determine whether you are using autoresolution or
autocompletion. If you're not sure, read the description of the difference:
