I have moved my PST-file to a new computer. Now I can´t see my Contacts in
the Adressbook. Help says to go to properties of the Contacts folder and on
the Adressbook tab make the setting for it to be shown, but I can´t, its
grey... Someone please help!

You did more than move your PST file. State how you did so and what else you
did to corrupt your profile. Has the Outlook Address Book Service been added
to this profile?

I used the Windows Vista function to move settings to a new computer.

In the Account settings (I hope thats the name - I have a Swedish version)
and the Adressbook tab I have the Outlook-adressbook type MAPI. If I
highlight it and choose Change there is no Adress-book in the list.

No wonder. Posted here daily you will find information that tells you never
to use Vista's transfer with Outlook. It corrupts your Outlook profile.
You'll need to create a new profile from scratch and use a supported method
to migrate your data: open the data file in the new profile and either copy
the data from it or set the file as your new default.

Ok, now that I´ve done it the wrong way. (Why is it there if it doesn´t
work...) Whats the smartest way to fix it without loosing all the new e-mails
and appointments that I´ve put in since I got my new computer?

Please give me some detailed instructions so I don´t go wrong again ;)

I also have Business Contact Manager. Whats the best way to get that over?

Thanks for helping

I have no idea why Microsoft provides software that doesn't work nor why
they won't fix it. You'll have to ask them.
I've never used BCM and never would. You'll have to ask those questions in a
BCM group.
We post detailed instructions on the proper way to migrate Outlook data
daily here. The file you need is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's
where all the mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored.

Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup or transfer:
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm
http://www.howto-outlook.com/Howto/backupandrestore.htm
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA010771141033.aspx

Note that some of the information on these pages is outdated and no longer
applies to Outlook 2003 or 2007. Specifically:
1. Ignore any advice to copy your PST file to Outlook's default location to
connect it to your profile. Doing so only corrupts your profile. Copy it
anywhere BUT the default location and open it within your Outlook profile.
2. Ignore any advice that tells you to use export or import to transfer
Outlook data. That has never been sound advice, but the process has become
too deeply flawed now to be of any use whatsoever.
