Contacts don't show until....

I'm using Outlook 2000 SR-1. When I create a new message
and hit the To: command button, there is no list of
contacts, until I type a letter. After I type something
everything shows up. What's up with that? Not a huge
problem but still an annoyance.

Contacts under the Outlook address book is in the Show
names from dropdown list. I'm using Corporate or
Workgroup mail support.

What is showing in the "Show names from " dropdown when you open the Outlook
Address Book?
Which mail support mode are you using? (Line 2 of Help | About if you're not
sure).

Remove and re-add the outlook Address Book service, making sure to restart
Outlook in between and after.
