Contacts / Address books

After I have typed the first 3 letters of the contact to
whom I wish to send an email, Outlook suggests names based
on previously sent emails and/or contacts in my address
books. However if I have changed or deleted an email
address in my Contacts address book, Outlook still
suggests the old email contact address. Presumably
Outlook has cached these contacts somewhere. My question
is, how do I get Outlook to only suggest contact email
addresses, currently in my address books, and NOT one's
that used to be there, but are now updated or removed?
Cheers

What version? Sounds like you're talking about 2002. If so, it doesn't
suggest those based on your contacts, but rather on previous addresses
you've typed. To remove outdated ones, simply arrow down (when the list
pops up) to the incorrect entry, and press delete on your keyboard. If you
want to empty the cache completely and start over, close Outlook and search
for the hidden file outlook.nk2. Delete it. Outlook will recreate it next
time you start typing an entry and will add the entries you type to the
cache file.
