Hello,

I have an install of Outlook 2002 That does not
display "Contacts" as an available option from the "Show
names from the" pull down menu when selecting To: in a new
message.

In addition in the properties for Contacts under "Outlook
Address Book" the option to "Show this folder as an E-mail
address book" is greyed out and unselectable..

Any ideas how to remedy this problem?

Thanks

You need to add the Outlook Address Book service to your profile by
selecting Tools | E-Mail Accounts | View or change existing Directories or
Address Books | Next | Add

You'll have to restart Outlook when finished.

if you got an answer to this coul you tell me what it is i have the same
problem

One more question on this Russ, how does one now make it the default
(list).
